Dedicated to making financial education accessible to everyone in Glasgow
Grove-lark began in 2011 when a group of financial professionals noticed something troubling: their clients, regardless of income level, often struggled with basic money management concepts that should have been taught decades earlier.
We started with a single Saturday workshop in a community centre in the West End. Word spread quickly. Parents wanted their children to attend. Adults admitted they wished such courses had existed when they were younger. Within three years, we moved to our current premises on Buchanan Street and expanded our curriculum to serve every age group.
Today, we remain independent and focused solely on education. We do not sell financial products or receive commissions. Our only goal is to help Glasgow residents build genuine financial competence.
Our principles guide every course we design and every lesson we deliver.
Financial concepts are not inherently difficult. Poor teaching makes them seem that way. We break down every topic until it makes intuitive sense.
Knowing what a budget is means nothing if you cannot create one. Every session includes hands-on exercises that relate to real Scottish life.
Markets change. Tax rules evolve. But the principles of earning, saving, and investing wisely remain constant. We teach frameworks that last.
Experienced educators passionate about financial literacy
We combine academic research with real-world experience. Every instructor has both formal qualifications and years of practical financial experience.
Every week, Glasgow residents take steps towards financial independence through our programmes.
